A: If your current web hosting provider can no longer answer the necessities of your site, or when you go through continuous network downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the help desk support team to reply to you, it might be a smart idea to switch your provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your sites as well as your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At HipHop Hosting, we understand that this can often be difficult and time–consuming. That is why we will do all that for you at no cost!Our proficient technical team members will migrate your web site content from your present web hosting provider to us. Our technicians have lots of experience with website migration and can handle anything – from a regular WordPress blog or Joomla^™ site, to an extremely complex, custom–built application.

A: While we cannot give you a precise ETA, since there are plenty of factors, among them the size of the web files and databases, the physical location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will try our very best to migrate your web site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (when the website content is not large).

A: Yup. We will need to have the name of the website that you want us to migrate. We will also require a way to log into your present web hosting account so that we can get the content associated with your site.

A: Our Privacy Policy is an indivisible part of the contract that we will have with you as a client. We are dedicated to protecting the safety of the personal info gathered from the clients. To achieve this, we use technical security measures in order to prevent the loss, the misuse, the modification or the illegal disclosure of the personal information under our control. The security measures include, but are not limited to: physical, digital and managerial procedures to protect and secure the information that we collect on the Internet. When we ask users to submit financial info (for example, a credit card number), this info is shielded using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technique.

A: Nah. Your site will remain visible online during the transfer. Once everything is completed on our end, we’ll notify you so that you can preview it and check for any problems. If everything’s fine, all you will need to do is update your domain’s DNS records.

A: Nope. Aside from your login credentials for the Control Panel, we won’t need anything. We’ll never get in touch with your web hosting provider. They will not know anything about the transfer either.

A: We support all Linux–based hosting platforms. Generally, if we can receive access to your Control Panel, we will be able to migrate your site.The only platforms that we don’t support are closed–source site creation platforms such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
