No Data Corruption & Data Integrity
What does the 'No Data Corruption & Data Integrity' motto mean to every web hosting account owner?
Data corruption is the unintended transformation of a file or the loss of info that often occurs during reading or writing. The reason may be hardware or software malfunction, and because of this, a file could become partially or entirely corrupted, so it will no longer work properly since its bits shall be scrambled or lost. An image file, for example, will no longer display an actual image, but a random mix of colors, an archive will be impossible to unpack because its content will be unreadable, and so on. In case such an issue occurs and it's not found by the system or by an admin, the data will get corrupted silently and when this happens on a disk drive that is part of a RAID array where the information is synced between different drives, the corrupted file will be duplicated on all of the other drives and the damage will be permanent. Numerous widespread file systems either do not offer real-time checks or don't have good ones that will detect an issue before the damage is done, so silent data corruption is a common problem on internet hosting servers where substantial volumes of data are stored.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Cloud Hosting
The integrity of the data that you upload to your new
cloud hosting account will be ensured by the ZFS file system which we make use of on our cloud platform. The majority of web hosting service providers, including our firm, use multiple HDDs to keep content and considering that the drives work in a RAID, exactly the same info is synchronized between the drives all the time. When a file on a drive becomes damaged for some reason, however, it is likely that it will be copied on the other drives as other file systems don't feature special checks for that. Unlike them, ZFS applies a digital fingerprint, or a checksum, for every file. In case a file gets damaged, its checksum will not match what ZFS has as a record for it, therefore the bad copy will be substituted with a good one from a different disk drive. As this happens immediately, there is no possibility for any of your files to ever be damaged.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you buy one of our
semi-dedicated hosting solutions, you will not have to worry about silent file corruption since we use ZFS - a high level file system that keeps track of all the files in real time. Whenever you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synchronized between several NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take control. ZFS compares the checksum of all copies on the different drives and if it detects a corrupted copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from a different drive. This happens instantly, so there will be no risk for any part of your content at any time. In contrast, alternative file systems execute checks only after a system breakdown, but since they do not use anything similar to the checksums which ZFS uses, they cannot detect silently corrupted files, so a bad copy can be replicated on the other drives as well and you may lose precious data. Since this is not the case with ZFS, we are able to guarantee the integrity of every single file you upload no matter what.
