Sender Policy Framework, or SPF, is a verification system, that is intended to prevent the so-called email spoofing where an email message is sent from one email address, but to appear as being sent from a different, often with the purpose to fraud the recipient in some way. When SPF protection is activated for a domain, a unique record is generated for it in the Domain Name System and all the DNS servers globally get it. The record features all email servers that are allowed to send valid messages from an email address part of the domain. When an e-mail is sent, the first DNS server it goes to checks the SPF record and in case its sending server is permitted, the message is forwarded to the target destination. In case, however, the sending server is not present in the SPF record for the given domain, the message will not be sent and it'll be removed. Whenever you use this solution, it will prevent third parties from sending spam that seem to have been sent from you.
SPF Protection in Cloud Hosting
You can enable the SPF protection service for your domains with a few clicks in the Hepsia Control Panel, which is provided with all our Linux cloud hosting. This is done via the section with an identical name and you'll be able to enable the protection for any domain name on our outstanding cloud hosting platform. Using a very handy interface, all you have to submit is the hostname of the mail server that will be permitted to send out messages from your emails and its IPv4 or IPv6 address. Last, but not least, you'll be able to add several servers too, if needed. If your e-mails are managed on our end, you can also take advantage of a more risk-free option by placing a limit that messages can be sent only when your domains have our MX records. This alternative can't be applied in case your web site is hosted here, and your email addresses are with some third-party provider. Either way, the SPF protection option will greatly increase your web safety and stop others from forging your e-mail addresses.
SPF Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting
